Annotated bibliography is my middle name. Grad school!
So when asked post speaking gig last month by macro social work students to blog a list of my 25 favorite books about pleasure activism, sexuality, reproductive justice, and relationality, I agreed. Here you go fabulously curious co-learners.
The list is a semi-ordered, trashE nod to writers who cracked my young queer heart wide open years ago, taught me about queer re-remembering in my thirties (listen to audio on no 1 . SwOoOoon Audre), and today center me in midst of impending Roe repeal as I engage intersectional sex affirming + anti-Racism + healing work in community. Yes, these books are my teachers, guides, partners, Loves woven together in new-old heart expansive ways.
PS- I literally carried most of these titles with me into the macro class. Ready to engage and geek out about my bibliophilia. Pulling books out of a large Mary Poppins like bag when related topics surfaced (#walking sexuality-reproJ-pleasure activism library). Yes to a life long practice of loving and sharing words, self, writing as liberation.
